THE FASTED LIFE

Fasting is a way of humbling yourself

1 Cor 7:5

STEPS IN FASTING

Decide the purpose of the fast

Proclaim the fast before the Lord

Believe you will receive a reward - Matt 6:18

Minister to the Lord and thank Him for the reward - Eph 6:19; Col 3:16

Minister to others - during the fast as led and after the fast always

Expect assistance from the angels - Matt 4:11

FASTING GETS THE FLESH OUT OF THE WAY

Prov 4:20-23 - Out of the heart flows the forces of life for our soul and body

Prov 14:30 - These forces of the born again spirit come from the Word

FASTING & DELIVERANCE

Ezra 8:21,23,31 - the victory was won

New 1:4 - the walls were built

Esther 4:3.16 - the Jews were saved

Daniel 9:3 - Israel’s history was set

Joel 1:14 - History shaped
