Mark 16:15-20

There are 3 major areas in the study of Divine Healing

1.Healing for the world - the Name of Jesus

2.Healing through the elders for the believer who has little or no knowledge of the WORD

3.Healing for the believer - who KNOWS their HEALING COVENANT

1.HEALING FOR THE WORLD

Acts 3:1-10(Peter) - foretold in Jn 14:12-14

Mark 16:15-20

Jesus set the church against sickness

Jesus confirmed the WORD, showing Himself alive

God will meet men on the level of their need

Healing is God’s masterstroke of revealing Himself alive to a natural world and to natural-minded believers

Matt 13:15 - see, hear, understand, converted, healed - Jesus gave the steps to healing.

2.HEALING FOR THE CARNALLY MINDED BELIEVER

1Cor 3:1-3 - A carnal or natural mind is a mind ruled by the senses

The carnal mind believes ONLY what it can hear, taste, smell, feel, or see Heb 5:13,14

Healing is provided for the carnally minded - James 5:14,15

In order for him/her to believe and receive, they must feel the oil, feel the hands of the elders and hear the prayer of faith

He should have confessed his sin to Jesus and acted on the Word if he’d known the Word - 1 Jn 1:9

James 5:16 tells them that they can do their own praying

3.HEALING FOR THE BELIEVER WHO KNOWS HIS/HER HEALING COVENANT RIGHTS

Rom 8 - The True Believer

Jn 20:24 - Thomas’ faith

Rom 4:16 - Abraham’s faith

2 Cor 5:17 - A New Creature

Mark 11:23,24 - Confession brings possession
